When we offer a comprehensive holistic health programs I have noticed over the years some very interesting outcomes. Understanding the reasons why people do create fantastic outcomes and why people drop out; holistic health programs tailored to your unique biochemical results or your comprehensive pathology results will provide you with an outstanding outline about what to eat and what not. How much are your daily carbohydrates and which ones, how many proteins and how much of the good fats are required for your breakfast and lunch and dinner. Next to this analysis it is also important to change the mindset. This is a very important part of the holistic health programs. When people fall back into their old behaviours usually prior to this they have come up with a whole list of excuses. Some of them are it is all too difficult to change the lifestyle. Or I have not the time to do all that stuff. Or they start to think holistic health programs do they work? Some other excuses are: 1. I am too busy in the morning with running around and get everything done. 2. I haven’t got time to do the shopping for my specific food I need to eat. 3. It is all too expensive. 4. I am used to eat as I do and this is good enough, they defend themselves by saying” This is Life”. 5. I find it too difficult to change my lifestyle, I have children, a husband and they might not agree with when I change the eating habits. 6. I cannot expect from my partner to cook different food for me and for the family 7. Oh is only every now and then and they forget to tell that this is 2or3 times a week. 8.It is too difficult to fill in the weekly diet sheets. I don’t need this I can just guess. Every time you tell yourself this story your body needs 3 days to restore itself from the attack. 9. I only live once and I see so many people who are smoking, drinking and eat all the foods you say wouldn’t support their body and they are still kicking around. It is interesting to know that moving away from a high carbohydrate and sugar diet is just as challenging as it is when a person wants to end a drug or alcohol addiction. In my vast experience I have noticed that between 70 and 80% of the people drop out. They start enthusiastically and once they make some improvements they fall back into their old habits which makes them feel tired and not good about themselves and the list goes on. What happens with the 20 to 30 % who do succeed and change their quality of life around in such a way that they feel rejuvenated and discover lots of energy! 1. They have realized that they want to change and create a different quality of life. 2. They have enough of sticking to their old story and want to rewrite the story of sickness and feeling miserable into a new story of vibrant health and wellbeing. 3. They have a high level of commitment and love to explore and learn how they can take charge of their health. 4. They have discovered that there is a commitment by accepting 100% responsibility for their own reality creation. 5. They have discovered that it doesn’t need to be expensive at all when you decide to eat the right foods for sustaining your body. 6. They have learned to listen to their body. Your body is designed to win. However you need to support the body so that it can win. 7. They also commit themselves to meditations and have started to watch their negative thought patterns and change them with the positive ones. 8. They realize that every challenge in the changing process is a wonderful opportunity to grow and to learn and to become stronger. 9. They have decided to end their addiction to the past behaviour patterns which have run their course. 10. They do realize that going against the natural flow of life is draining their energy and their sense of wellbeing. When a person starts a holistic health education program they take the responsibility to book their weekly appointments and do not sit and waits till the holistic health practitioner will call them and pulls them back into line. |
